Matt Stamp is a highly respected Master Sommelier, wine educator, and co-founder of Compline Wine Bar, Restaurant & Merchant in Napa, California. With a deep passion for wine, he earned his Master Sommelier title in 2011, distinguishing himself as one of the top wine professionals in the world. Before launching Compline, Stamp built his career as a sommelier at renowned establishments such as The French Laundry in Yountville.
Matt Stamp's true gift lies in making wine approachable. He has an unmatched ability to connect people with extraordinary wines in an inviting, down-to-earth way. Stamp has also dedicated much of his career to mentoring and educating the next generation of wine professionals. As the former Education Director for the Court of Master Sommeliers Americas, he helped shape the curriculum that has trained thousands of sommeliers.
